Ingredients:

Sponge:

250 g bread flour

250 g Ground Plazma

2 eggs

240 g lard

150 g sugar

1 sachet vanilla sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking powder

Filling:

1,5 kg sour apples (Granny Smith, Ajdara)

8 tablespoons sugar

grated zest of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon squeezed lemon juice

15 g butter

Decoration:

Powdered sugar

1. Step

In a medium-sized bowl, mix flour, Ground Plazma, cinnamon and baking powder.

2. Step

In another large bowl, beat the fat and sugar until frothy, then add the eggs and mix everything well. Finally, gradually add the mixed dry ingredients and beat everything well to get a homogeneous mixture. Cover the bowl with transparent foil and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

3. Step

Wash, dry and peel the apples. Cut them in half and remove the core with the seeds, then cut them into larger cubes.

4. Step

Put the butter in a large pan and melt it over moderate heat. Add the apples, sugar, lemon juice and grated lemon zest and simmer slowly until the apple juice has evaporated, then remove from heat.

5. Step

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

6. Step

Prepare a baking tray by coating it with a little butter or fat. Take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into two parts.

7. Step

Line a baking sheet with one part and spread the filling evenly over it.

8. Step

Place the second half of the dough on a larger sheet of baking paper and roll it out with a rolling pin to the dimensions of the baking sheet.

9. Step

Prick the dough with a fork and carefully lay it over the apple filling with the help of baking paper.

10. Step

Peel off the paper and put the pie in the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it cool, then cut it into cubes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

11. Step

Your dessert is ready!
